Crafty Tuesday!!

Yesterday was crafty Tuesday again...YAY!

We had alot of fun. Cheryl, Christa, Tera, Kati & myself got together at my Mom's house and we made recipe/photo tins. It was so much fun and it turned out so good afterwards. I really look forward to see everybody and can't wait until next Tuesday!!

*I know that this isn't as decorated as the recipe tins are but I wanted this to be a bit toned down...I also thought that a whisk & rolling pin would look silly on a photo box!!*

Splish Splash...

Yesterday afternoon I decided to give the kids an early bath. Kylie smelled like barf and Liam loves to bath so we filled the tub, added some toys and had some fun!

They were in the tub for almost an hour! By the time I got Kylie out the water was cold (I had started a load of laundry before I thought about bathing them so were had no more hot water to top it off!! :( Even after Kurt got home from work and drained the tub Liam still layed in there and didn't want to get out.

They had so much fun playing and splashing together!

A Funny Story...

Now I know that I have stories and pictures about Liam all the time but this kid just does so much funny stuff that I can't not tell the stories and show the pictures. Soon enough Kylie will start doing more and then I will have more to write about for her...right now she just eats, poops, barfs, rolls over, scoots backwards and cries when her Mom leaves her.

Anyway, here's a funny story for Liam.

Wednesday's are what we call "Scrapbook Day" with our friends Lorrie, Amanda & Erin. We hire a sitter and she watches the kids at Lorrie's house while we scrapbook about 8 houses down the street at Amanda's house. After scrapbooking we pack up our stuff and head up to Lorrie's house for lunch together, nap time and a bit of play time.

Back in February I decided one morning that I just didn't feel like getting dressed so I put clean pajama's on myself and the kids and we headed up to Lorrie's.

After lunch I put Liam down for a nap in a playpen Lorrie's room. I never heard him after I put him down and honestly didn't care to go and check on him if he was being quiet. After a couple of hours Lorrie & Erin went upstairs to check on their sleeping sons and while they were up there popped their heads into the room to check on Liam.

When they looked in they saw that...

Liam had crawled out of the playpen, turned on the TV, found a bag of popcorn, picked up a couple of toys, climbed up on the bed, covered himself up and fell asleep watching TV. It was so cute!! Now that's a kid that can take care of himself!

Phone Call...

Liam LOVES to talk on the phone. I will often find him with the chair pushed up to the counter and the phone up to his cheek jabbering away. If you ever need someone to talk to give him a call ( before 6:30 as thats when he goes to bed :) ) he would love to jabber your ear off!!

More Coasters...

I made these a couple of weeks ago. I love them so much that I just can't bring myself to use them as coasters! My kids are so darn cute!

Year of Color Week 2---Indigo??

This was really hard for me too. I googled the word Indigo and it looked like a purpley-blue color in one place but a blue color in another. So I decided to take a picture of one of my favorite things...RIBBON!! It's color looked alot different in person then it does in the picture. Hopefully I did this week somewhat right. I sure hope that next week is a bit easier!

Crafty Tuesday's

This week we did our craft Tuesday again. It was alot of fun! My sister Cheryl, my cousin Tera and myself got together and made a 'Family Album' (Christa and Zoe came over for a little bit but didn't do the craft). I absolutly love this album. I have made it a few times but this book is by far my favorite. I bought this paper specific with the intent to make this book...gotta love Chatterbox Paper!! It took alot longer then planned as we were chasing after kids the whole time but it was great to get together and get to visit. We don't get to see Tera that often so any time to visit with her is great! Can't wait until next week!

Beautiful Girl

Kurt's New Hobby

Kurt was given an old motorcycle, not quite in running condition, that he has decided to take on as a new hobby. He has already completely taken the bike apart and has been sand blasting it. He plans on re-building the engine in it. The other day we were going out and I thought that he had put Liam in the van when instead I heard a bunch of noise, when I got to the back yard they were both sitting on the bike making revying noises together.

Beautiful Blue Eyes

Kylie has some of the most beautiful eyes. It's funny because I don't think that her eyes could be any lighter and Liam's couldn't be any darker.

Choo-choo Choo-choo

Liam is just in love with his choo choo. He plays with it all the time and when he's not playing with it he has it in his hand or up by his pillow while he's sleeping. Whenever we drive past the train tracks he starts screaming "CHOO CHOO!! CHOO CHOO!!!"

Sister Time

This morning my sister Christa called and we decided to all head over to my Mom's house to spend some time together and to do a craft.

We made Slate Picture Coasters. They are so easy to do and turned out so good! Both Cheryl and Christa loved them so much that they want to get together weekly for a craft day. I had alot of fun today with them. It's so neat seeing your best friends all of the time! I love you girls!

Year of Color Challenge

So I've decided to take on this Year of Color Challenge.

The way I understand it is that each week we are given a specific color that we have to photograph. I'm thinking that this is going to be fun. Hopefully I can keep up with the challenge. The first color picked was yellow.

I took a picture of one of Liam's toys, his Tupperware shape ball. The ball it's self isn't yellow but the shapes are. I decided to photograph this because this ball has played a big part in Liam's last few months. He absolutly loves this ball and can put all the shapes in all by himself.

I hope that I did this right, let me know!

More Kylie

I had a message asking for more pictures of Kylie, so heres some more!!

She is just so beautiful, I have no problems posting more pictures!

It's so differnt having a girl. Don't get me wrong, Liam is awesome but he just doesn't look good in pink or dresses or even capri pants!

Liam James

Liam is such a smart little boy. Last week he decided to show off a new trick, he counts to 6! I'm not sure where he picked it up but it sure shocked us when he started!

He is starting to pick up more words now too. He likes to copy you when you say something so I have a perma-echo all of the time now. Its just so fun to see him growing up so much.

He loves his 'choo choo' and his 'truck'. He likes to help empty the dishwasher, tupperware cupboard, toy box or anything else that he can empty. He likes to color with his crayons, read books, ignore Mommy reading him a book.

A couple of weeks ago he brought me a book to read him. about half way through the book he started trying to flip around with the pages and I just held them down and kept reading. After a few seconds he gave up and let go of the book and stick his pointer fingers in his ears so that he couldn't hear me reading. It was so funny, where does he get the attitude from!?!

Today I was polishing my nails and Liam came up to me, layed down and put his feet up on my lap, he didn't want to get left out of mine and Kylie's fun!

Kylie Marie

Kylie has grown so much over the past few months. Since Christmas she has gained about 6 pounds, putting her back on track weight wise, and has been growing up in height like a weed!

She is 6 1/2 months now, sitting up by herself (until she gets distracted by someone walking past or a noise behind her!), she can pull and push herself around a bit too.

She has quick hands, just like her big brother! If Liam lays down next to her, she will grab his soother, toys or even his clothes.

Shes such a sweet little girl, definatly a Mom's girl too!

Thomas the Tank Engine

For Liam's birthday we decided to buy tickets to go see and take a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine. He absolutly loves trains so this will make for a fun day. Everyone gets to take a 20 minute ride on Thomas, there are crafts and activities all day.

Monster Jam

We decided to take Liam to see the monster trucks this year. We love going to the shows and thought that he needed some attention forcused on just him while Kylie stayed at out friends, the Baer's.

We took a C-Train ride down town to the Saddledome, had some lunch and watched the show. He did really good for the most part. He LOVED watching the trucks he clapped after everything that the trucks did and yelled "YAY!!" After the show we bought him a little truck (which he had been sleeping with since he got it!) The truck we bought is a smaller version of the truck pictured here, it is the 'Hot Wheels' truck which was one of my favorites. It was alot of fun and nice to be able to spend some much needed time with him.

The Hair

Ok...I know. You don't need to say "I told you so!"

We, being myself and my sister Christa decided that it would be fun to give Liam a hair cut. Well he needed a cut and we thought that it would be fun to give him a different hair cut. We ended up giving him a mohawk. This is definatly not my favorite cut. Funny enough the cut and his attitude go right together, he can be such a little punk! Well its starting to grow out a bit now and I can honestly say that I will never cut it like that again!
